Federal member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters, today congratulated La Trobe University and the Bendigo manufacturing industry for their collaboration to develop the new Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

Federal Member for Bendigo will today move a motion in the House of Representatives condemning the Liberal Government for their inaction on the exploitation of temporary work visa holders.

Lisa Chesters MP has written to the Communications Minister, Senator Mitch Fifield, urging him to prioritise the NBN rollout in the Bendigo electorate.

On this historic day – the first day the House of Representatives is catching up with society by allowing women Members to breastfeed on the floor of Parliament - it should be acknowledged the Turnbull Government is forcing agencies to scrap lactation breaks for commonwealth government employees from their enterprise agreements through its workplace bargaining policy.

Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters, will return to Canberra today for the first sitting week of Parliament for 2016 with a long list of priorities for the Bendigo electorate, including restoring La Trobe University funding cuts, turning the NBN towers on and greater support for our welfare agencies.
