Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters is warning Central Victorians that the next round of cuts to penalty rates for hospitality, retail, fast food and pharmacy workers take effect from today (Monday, July 1).
“Every July since 2017, penalty rates have been slashed. Labor committed to reversing these cuts,” Chesters said.
Federal Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters is preparing to return to Canberra next week for the opening of the 46th Parliament, determined to fight for funding for the Bendigo electorate.
“Labor committed almost $30million for community infrastructure projects in the Bendigo electorate during the election campaign, but the Liberals committed zero.” Chesters said.
Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters is encouraging Central Victorians to celebrate diversity, this World Refugee Day.
“Today is world refugee day which is a great reminder that there are a number of ways residents across the Bendigo electorate can show their support to refugees in our own backyard,” Chesters said.
