Four school leaders from Eaglehawk North Primary School will officially open Lisa Chesters’ refurbished office on Monday, June 21 at 11am.
Elected representatives, local business and organisation leaders and community leaders will attend the office opening.
Ms Chesters’ office was recently refurbished to improve disability access.
"The office used to have limited disability access, with the need to manually install a ramp to allow wheelchair access to the office," she said.
"A large amount of the work we do at the electorate office is assisting community members who visit, call or email the office.
"That’s why it’s very important to me that all community members have equal access to my office. It’s the reason why this refurbishment was so important."
Ms Chesters’ office provides a wide range of services to members of her electorate including:
• Arranging congratulatory messages for various anniversaries and birthdays from the Queen, Prime Minister and Governor General
• Providing Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags
• Advice on current Government funding programs, including grants
• Assistance accessing Federal Government departments or agencies such as Centrelink, Medicare, Immigration and Australian Tax Office
