Lisa Chesters MP has been so inundated with requests for meetings from community members she is opening up on a Saturday morning.
Ms Chesters said the office will be open by appointment starting Saturday, March 1.
Ms Chesters said the backlog was a good problem to have.
“As a new MP, there have been a lot of people wanting to meet up with me for a wide range of reasons,” she said.
‘Some want to introduce themselves, others have an idea or a proposal they want to share, while some want to sound out how I can help them in a particular situation.
“It’s been great to meet so many people in my electorate. It helps me in my job as representative of central Victoria.”
Ms Chesters said there were many issues her Bendigo electoral office team could manage, including Centrelink enquiries and immigration.
She reminded residents that they can organise a meeting with her or a member of her team at any time.
“Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me anytime, either at my office at the corner of Williamson and Myers Streets, by telephone on 5443 9055 or by email at [email protected].”
