Congratulatory Messages

Australians celebrating a special birthday or wedding anniversary can receive personal congratulations from the Prime Minister, Governor-General or The Queen.

The office of Lisa Chesters MP can make arrangements for anniversary messages up to two months before the celebration, or up to one month after the birthday or wedding anniversary has passed.

Steps to apply for a congratulatory message:

  1. Check eligibility here. (link to www.pmc.gov.au/government/anniversary-messages)
  2. Provide supporting documentation like a birth certificates or marriage certificates. If these are not available you can provide a statutory declaration. Statutory declaration forms are available at any post office or here (link to www.ag.gov.au/legal-system/publications/commonwealth-statutory-declaration-form ).
  3. Advise the full name and current address of the recipient/s.
  4. Advise requestor’s full name, phone number and where the certificates are to be sent to.
